Welcome to Tajar's Treehouse

Week-long sessions in an interactive camp community.

While we know nothing can replace the in-person camp experience, we're excited to announce Tajar's Treehouse—GSNorCal's virtual summer camp program. With both online and offline adventures and activities, we’re bringing the magic of camp direct to your living room, backyard, neighborhood park, and beyond!

As so much has changed in girl's lives this year already, we’re focused on bringing girls together in friendship, exploration, and positive experiences. Our virtual camp sessions are designed to be a fun and engaging space to try new things, find community, play games and explore, be silly, and experience the magic of camp, together.

Sign up for one session, or give them all a try—we can't wait to hang out with you in Tajar's Treehouse!

Tajar's Treehouse is built on GSNorCal's four program themes:

  • Sisterhood & Belonging

Socially distant doesn't have to mean socially isolated! While we're physically apart, we’re doing what camp does best—building a community that helps girls feel confident, safe, and engaged.

  • Health & Wellness

There’s never been a more important time to take care of ourselves and one another. Tajar’s Treehouse is focused on engaging programming that promotes physical, emotional, social, and mental wellness now and in the future.

  • Leading Change

We believe in the power of positive change and the light that Girl Scouts have within themselves to lead the way! As girls work on projects and learn about initiatives that make a positive impact, they're working towards making our communities and the world better places.

  • Planning for Adventure

Girl Scouts are dreamers, planners, and ultimately, doers! We are setting goals, training our bodies and minds, making plans, and working towards adventures together. Girls are preparing for journeys they can go on now and in the future, and they’ll design those adventures all on their own.

All Camp Live: Each day, you will be able to tune in to LIVE All Camp Activities. These are shaded in green in the schedule above. In these activities, we’ll be welcoming the girls to camp and participating in classic camp traditions like camp-wide games, themed meals, dress-up days, flag ceremonies, and more, all adapted to the virtual space.

Self-Guided, Age-Specific Activities: Once you register, you’ll be given access to a landing page where you will find a week’s worth of content. For each age group, a daily activity guide has been prepared with 2–3 activities, additional resource links, supplemental video content, and detailed instructions. These guides have been developed specifically for Tajar’s Treehouse by our experienced camp directors, and they are age-appropriate, thematic, and centered around a daily program area.

Live Group Time: We all know the best part of camp is the friendships you form with other campers and our amazing staff! This is where your girls will really get to spend time with others and build relationships. All campers will be placed in a group, and will have the opportunity to tune in live each day for additional programing that relates to the Self-Guided activities. Group Time looks different based on age, as we have constructed our program around what is developmentally appropriate.

Younger campers will experience guided games, activities, and discussions with Camp Facilitators. These groups will be larger, and girls will be able to communicate through the chat function and when unmuted by staff.

In addition to spending time with all the girls in their age group, older campers will be placed into small “Cabin Groups”, where they will get to chat with their counselors and camp friends about the activities they are doing that week. This age group will experience a lot of choice in their schedule and will have the opportunity to choose and vote together on what they will do in their Cabin Groups.

Counselors-In-Training will be placed with other CITs of their level (I, II, III) and will meet daily in small groups with the CIT Director to engage in learning experiences, shadow staff, and plan all-camp games and activities.
